Thank you to Raymour & Flanigan for kindly sponsoring this post. All opinions are 100% honest & completely my own.
Moving into our new home gave us an excuse to re-decorate and make the new spaces in our home not only reflect our personal style but also the home's modern farm house aesthetic. When we started looking for furniture, our first go-to was Raymour and Flanigan! Tom and I both purchased some of our first pieces of furniture from Raymour and Flanigan 10 years ago and the customer service we received then has us still coming back 10 years later.
When we walked into our local Raymour and Flanigan to look around, we were immediately greeted with a warm smile and asked if we would like a bottle of water to enjoy while we shopped. Our saleswoman, Rita, was so kind and informative and allowed us to look around, but stayed nearby in case we had questions. By the end of our shopping trip, Rita and I realized we had a mutual connection, my cousin, who has taught her daughter's at different times throughout their lives.
I love {happenstance} moments.
Tom and I knew we wanted a large modern farm table, but were undecided on color and design. Rita helped me and Tom think through the process and what would work best for us and our space given the size and style of our home. Tom and I both have large extended families, even having a gathering with our immediate families yields over 25 adults/kids. We needed a table that extended as long as possible (had a leaf) and would be durable for all of our parties and get togethers.
After going back and forth between 2 different tables, we decide on the Halloway table and the Kasari upholstered chairs.
Since the room is painted a Slate Blue color, and most of our house is painted in cool tones, I wanted to chairs to have a cooler tone as well- they are a light Blue/Gray fabric. I absolutely love the detail of the nailhead trim, which also matches a few other nailhead pieces we have throughout our house. I would consider my style having a French Country/Rustic Chic vibe and that's totally the look our dining room has- rustic chic, so to speak.
I spotted the Amelia French cabinets right when I walked in the door and basically made sure my table matched them haha
The cabinets have a gray/beige finish and antiqued silver hardware which gives them a vintage chic aesthetic.
Another pretty feature is that there is interior lighting that will show off our family photos encased inside. The cabinet was actually no longer in stock at the store we went to, so I took the floor model and had to order the remaining cabinet from stock left at another store. Lucky for me, Rita, our saleswoman was amazing and she worked with the manager to make magic happen so I could get both cabinets still in the amazing 3-day delivery frame Raymour and Flanigan boasts of!
My chairs. How beautiful are the Kasari chairs?! Tom and I both wanted comfortable chairs that could withstand long conversations, Thanksgiving dinners and Christmas brunches without back pain and numb buns. These chairs certainly fill the need! They are so comfortable, an easy to clean fabric and the perfect color to accent the room.
I've received SO many compliments on them already!
I have to say, in all honesty, this furniture shopping experience was the most fun and pleasant that Tom and I have ever encountered...and that says alot coming from a man of few words like my husband. Clearly, Raymour and Flanigan has a name for themselves and their customer service for a reason. We will certainly go back to pick out pieces for our Living Room and Office in the coming months. #MyRFStyle
What do you think of our new dining room?!
